STHATFOIID. (From Our Own Correspondent). The intention of the New Plymouth people to fittingly entertain the old pioneers meets with general approbation. We hear so much to-day of the hardy pioneers who go out to the backblocks with telephones, roads, and other scniicivilised equipments that it makes us think what sort of a time our forefathers had when they first settled in Taranaki.
