The furnishing of the stage in the production of the farcical comedy "Jane" ou Tuesday evening next will b e on a very elaborate scale, and will include a beautifully upholstered Chesterfield suite, etc. All the furniture has been kindly lent for the occasion by Mr. Hayden, of the Red Post Furnishing Shop, Devon Street East. Owing to the dissolution of partnership (by mutual consent), Messrs. Grayson and Cock have decided on holding a genuine sale of footwear. The shop will be closed on Monday for marking down prices. On Tuesday morning, at 10 o'clbck ) the sale will commence, when every pair of boots, shoes, and slippers will be offered at enormously reduced prices.. Inspection of the stock is invited.

Veterans are requested to attend at St. Mary's Church on Sunday, 2nd prox., at 3 o'clock, when the unveiling of hatchments will take place. Tenders arc invited by tlw Roads Department, to close March 27th, for the erection of bridges over the Waiweranm and Warea streams on the Carrington fioad.
The services in AVhitelcy Church tomorrow will be conducted 'by the Rev. T. G. Brooke, and ithe subjects for the day 'will be—Morning, "The Revival of God's Work," and evoning, "We Preach Christ Crucified: Is there anything better'" Visitors cordially invited.— Advit.
