AUBIT-KATIOX COURT. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tlie Wellington- grocers' dispute was lieaTd by tlie Arbitration Court .to-day. •Mir. Carey, for tlie Union, eaid the parties had .been able to agree on all point's, excep.t the question of wages of, assistant gripers. The carters* wages, fixed six and a-half years ago, jrere not commensurate with the cost of living to-day, which had increased .18 fto 20 iper cent. The Union asked that assistants over. 23 years of age re-, wive i£3 a. week, and that .the wages of youths be in proportion; that the minimum wages of carters be for driving and attending single horse £2 10s, £sro horses 14s, and for each additional horse 4s a week; boys uuder 17 •to -be 71 ot a!K>w«d to drive boras, in the interests of .the safety of the public. The question for the Court was •whether ££ 5s was a living wage. The Court heard evidence and will malco its award later.
