OX AN ALLEGED WHISKY STILL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Premises in Adelaide road, occupied ky iMauriee John Collins and Tlios Mat- " thews, 'were raided by 'the .police this morning. Cliiet Detective Jlrolierg was la charge and was acteompanieil by Defectives Cassells, Lewis and Andrews. Information was refceived several days i ago alleging that a whisky still was Mieing conducted in the premises. The party foA'ibly enteted the MRttse and arrested Collins and Matthews. Hi is also understood that a still was dii&overed, including a copper fitted with a tin head, on to whifch Svas also fitted a worm, coiling away into r. large water trough. The trough contained some gallons ;of liquid alleged to be undergoing the prdcess of conversion into whisky. A fire was burning under the coipper in the room. A cask, alleged to> contain illicit whisky, Was discovered. The men will Iba -lelrarged at tie Police Court to-mor-TOW.
