INQUEST ON AN INFANT. Bv Telegraph—Press Association. 3 Auckland, .March IS. At an inquest on the body of the ncwlv-horn infant sou of William Sterling "a -wharf labourer, Annie Cozens nurse, a student at St. Helen's Hospital, stated that she was present at tne birth at 2 a.m. yesterday. The child was healthy and fully developed, and was all right when she left at 3 a.m. On returning at 7 a.m. the child was dead, ilie liodv was still warm (being amongst the "bed clothes), but the face was cold. Immediately after the birth of the child she noticed marks of apparent bruising on its right arm and chest.
