The fixture is always a popular one and, deaVite the threatening weather, a good number of Xew Plymonth, Stratford and Hawera ''sports' journeyed to the meeting. Fields were fairly lafge and racing for the. most part very, interesting. Black Cat fell in the hurdle race, but lier rider, Hurle, 1 ma* not injured.
