, OUTBREAK AT WELLINGTON. B,v Telegraph.—Press \ssoclaMon. 3 Wellington, March 15. 3 A three-storey building in Victoria Street occupied by D. W. Virtue and > Co., grain and produce merchants, was i the scene of a fire last evening. Ali though the lhunes were soon suppressed . by the Brigade, a large quantity ot grain I and produce suffered damage. Insur- ■ ances on the building are, Phoenix £760 - and Atlas £BOO. The New Zealand I Moimnillers' Association, for which Virtue and Co. arc the local agents, had i its stock of flour insured for £IOOO in i the United Office and £IOOO in the . Norwich Union, 1 r ; A TANNERY DESTROYER Auckland, Uast Night. The tnsmery of W. Sutherland and Co., Ltd., at Onchunga., was almost completely destroyed by flro late to-night. It is estimated that the total loss is £20,000, while insurance amounts only to between £SOOO and £6OOO. ■ The J cause of r the outbreak is unknown.
