During the debates hi the House of Lords and the House of Commons the Government was severely condemned for permitting the Swansea educational authority to starve its Church schools, and differentiate between the salaries of teachers in Church and board schools. Mr. Jlalfour ridicules the plea of the Hon. Walter Runciman (President of the Board of Education) that the law does not allow the Education Department to interfere in the case, which has engaged public attention for many months.
