THE DAIRY REGULATIONS.

A dairy conference, arranged by the Jirovidicial |cxc<Jut«vie of th c Farmers' L'nion, was held at Hamilton this after noon, and exhaustively considered tl» proposed regulations. " Mr. Allen Hell was in the chair, and there were forty ■present, including Mr. Clifton, Chief hispeetor of Stock. Mr. Bell explnM , i.!r regulations, and tiiey were th n ~..; sidercd in detail, and a number of deletions and additions were made. The following resolutions were carried:—(a) that before inspectors institute proceedings against dairymen the latter have power to refer the matter to the Chief Stock Inspector before appearing in court; (b) that before an inspector make* a round of inspection Pi dairies the dairy company of the district appoint two representatives to aeeompanv nim on the inspection; (c) that farmers be granted free railway carriage on mule™] to he used in the construction of cowsheds or yards.
