There was a irood attendance and interesting racing. The sum of £1)105 was put through the tote. There were eight bookmakers inside and one out. Results:—

Telephone Hack, five furlongs—lievmia 8.10 (!•'. D.Jones), 1; Incy 8.3 (Mallower) 2; Tino Toa 7.12 (L. Wilson) 3. Also ran: llereward. Martyr King, Waipuniii, Ora Piusent, Bonnie Dooil, Kimnieria, Kawcra and Prevail. Won by about a length. Time, limn 3see. An inquiry was held into (he running of First Mate on the first day, which was considered suspicious. After consideration the owner (Telfor) and rider (Olliver] were cautioned.
Autumn Handicap, one mile and a dislanee—Tangeroa 0.7 (K. Young). 1; Saudstrcam 8.9 (Hatch) 2; Vi 7.13 (Low'c) 3. Also) started: lloosevelt, Ballyheigh, Moloch and Waitapn. .Won easily by about a length. Time, lmin 57 4-ssec.
Juvenile. Handicap, five furlongs—To Puia 6.8 (Coleman) 1; Glissade 7.0 (T. Carroll) 2; Dayibeam 9.1 (F. D. Jones) 8. Also started: Seraphic, Kiltie Lass, Ambrosian, Latchet, Ariom and Ruapare. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 3sec.
Mangatera. Hack, seven furlongs— Aberbrothock 9.0 (Olliver), 1; Voetgang 8.2 (Lowe) 2; Continuance 7.3 (F. Cress) 3. Also started: Awha and Tuatalii. Won by a length. Time, lmin 30sec.

PATEA RACE MEETING. A committee meeting of tlic Egmont Racing Club was held on Wednesday afternoon to discuss an application from the Patea Racing Club to hold the Easter meeting at Hawera. Members appeared willing that the application should be granted, but thought it would have been better had some representative from the Patea Club been present. Ultimately Mr. Davidson moved: That permission be given the Patea Racing Club to liold its Easter meeting »n the Egmont Racing Club's course— The motion was carried.—lt was decided to charge £23 for the use of the course.
