A peculiar ease is reported from Xgaruawaliia, where an old man named McDonald, familiarly known a- "Old .Mac" throughout the Waipa. died some time ago racar N'garuawahia' without friends or relatives in (he country, and (o all appearances without anv m»iiev or properly whatever. The local constable, while going over (he few ell'ects which the old man lel'l. found some papers amongst which war* a ticket- for the winner of a. recent Melbourne Cup. carrying with it a prize of .CIOOII. Nothing is known of where McDonald came from or whether he had relatives or friends, s o i thai, though the money can he secured, ] the question is, to whom is it to go?
