ElilLDl.\G. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Fcilding. Wednesday. At the licensing election yesterday the trade ticket was returned, the successful candidates, being Messrs Bailey, Bruce. Goodbehcre, Mellcth. and Wolven. No-license had a ticket, which was defeated.

MANUKAU. Auckland, Wednesday. Tu the Manukau poll two tickets were ,pul forward. On the result is depending whether two or three hotels ihall be closed. With seventeen small returns to come and very close voting, Scott and Westney (temperance) head the list, the other temperance candidates being lifth, seventh and ninth respectively.

The Inoilerate; oarty nominated three, who were elected, out of eleven candidates.

Thames, Last Night. The nioderate, party was returned as the Licensing Committee. There was no issue before electors, as continuance had been carried. CHALMERS. Diniediu. Usi Night. The returns for the Chalmers licensing poll show that no-license candidates have boon returned. Three small returns lo come cannot affect the result.
