The headquarters companies paraded last night. The Cuards were exercised iu rifle drill iu the drill hall, and tide Rifles took advance guard wo k in the open. Battalion orders were read from Lieut. Colonel Oke.v, first calling a battalion parade at St. Mary's Church on March 28tli {Waireka Day), at 2.30 p.m., when throe more hatchment® will be unveiled; secondly, drawing attention to the fact that at the recent church parade at •Whiteley Church several volunteers attended in field service caps, contrary to orders, and hoping that such disobedience of orders will not occur again. This year's recruits in the Rifles will fire a match at Rowa Rewa on Thursday and Saturday, at the 200 and 500 yards ranges.
