PROVIDING WORK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. [ Auckland, February 22. After hearing the unemployed deputation to-dtiy the Mayor (Mr. A. Myers) inquired from the Labour Bureau tlio condition of the labour market, and was informed that employment had recently been found for 230 men, and that there were now 172 on the books. He suggested that the deputation should supply him with a list of the •names of the unemployed. He would then communicate with the Premier and lake steps immediately to sec what Municipal works authorised could be put in hand.
