» By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. ■Judgment was given by the. Compensation Court this afternoon in the case Ilawcra Electrical Co., Ltd., v. the Eltham llorough Council, a claim of £2400 for infringement of water rights. The Court by a. majority awarded .HoO i.u full settlement of the claim, together with £SO costs. This special case was heard before the Court of Appeal. Air. Justice Cooper and Air. O. V. Pearce, ALP., constituted the majority in making the award. Air. Janies Boddie, assessor for Iho respondents, dissented, considering no award should be paid at all. Each party was ordered to pay its own costs. Assessors' fees were fixed at £lB 1.5s in the wise of Air. Pearce, and £24 18- in the case of Air. Boddie, the difl'ereiiee being oil account of the longer period Ihe latter had been compelled to s(ay in town.
