At the meeting of the Trades and Labor Council to-night, the Govern- ■ incut's immigration policy was strongly ■ condemned, and it was resolved lo appoint a deputation to wait on the Prime Minister and place the facts before him; to send a warning to the chairman of ; the British Labor Representation Coin- \ uiittce uf the House of Commons against immigrants coming out here; to call an indignation meeting at the earliest, possible moment; and to request the Government to stop assisted immigration for at least one year.
