A DARING ROBBERY.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last .Night. Information was forwarded to the police authorities to-day that a daring robbery had taken place in one of the leading hotels. The victim is stated to be a commercial traveller. It is reported that while lit wag having his morning bath, preparatory to dressing, his bedroom was visited and a considerable sum of money taken, ihc thief was apparently -not taking any increased risk, as although there were jewellery and other valuables conspicuous in the room, he preferred the cash only. The victim was accustomed to take his valuables into the bathroom with him, but omitted to do so on this occasion. He remembered before he finished his bath, and ran back at once, only to find the money gone. The amount is stated to be over £IOO. .
