i MEETING OF ONE OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCILS. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, Last Sight. At a meeting tonight of the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, a letter «s read from Mr. Atack, of Christchurch, suggesting that the championship meeting lie carried out at Duitedin hy the Otago centre, any profit being put in trust with an independent party for the purpose of assisting to send a New Zealand team to Brisbane in November. The Council resolved as follows: "Thnt it is not the intention of this Council to give up control of the championship meeting to be held in Otiigo, and. further, that it the late Council will place tile whole of the funds at present held by the late secretary-treasurer 01 the late Council to a trust account, this executive is agreeable also to deal with its shave of the profits of the championship meeting at Dunedin in the same manner." The Council approved the programme drafted (or the meeting. Mr. .1. B. Holt, of Dunedin, was appointed judge in walking events.
Applications for reinstatement as amateurs were granted in the cases of Cecil Duncan (Dunedin), .Tolm Hotting (South Dunedin). and Charles Buchanan. (Dunedin). The application of W. L. Colfins (Dunedin) was refused, and two others were referred to local centres.
