LOUD DUDLEY'S WORDS. Melbourne, February 8. Lord Dudley, speaking at the vachting luncheon, referred to the value of the pastime in keeping alive the love foi, the sea. He said that he hoped to see a larger number uf Jiustralians wearing the British naval uniform—not identical with the button worn by people who walk about Portsmouth but the uniform which he regarded as the King's uniform, and that they would bo part of the general defence forces of the i Empire. He would also like to see an! absolute equality in all services of the Crown between al! British citizens wherever horn. He did not believe they would ever get a complete idea of Empire until that was accomplished.
