The figures for best comb* iugs were unchanged. All clothings, coarse crossbred* and combings ranged from par to a farthing lower. The aext sale is on March 18.

Wool The London wool sales were brisk, and prices firm at recent rates. Tim Tukorongo clip realised 10y 3 d. At Bradford wool is unchanged. Copper—On spot £SB . ss, three months JDS9 ss. MXDOX SIIEJSPSKIX MARKET. ; The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received tho following message from their London house, under date 4th inst.— Sheepskins. The market is firm for merinos and fine crossbreds. Halfwoolled crossbreds and coarse crossbreds have declined y 4 d per lb. There is a good demand."

The quantity coming into the various markets is inucli less, and prices all over France are higher. Quotations for fresh h (unsalted) rolls have been advanced <id per dozen pounds, and baskets and firkins of salt, also fresh baskets, 4s. Australian.—Butters ex s.s.' Oroya have come to hand in good order, and although on the whohe prices, in sympathy with the drop in the North, havn been in the buyers' /favor, the butters ■have cleared and tlue floors are clear, ■ready for the s.s. China's cargo, due to iloek to-inorrow. New Zealand—The s.s. Athenic docked this morning. The shipping company hope to get at the. butter this evening, and have arranged to work all night so as to get the butter out. If this is done it will help agent* considerably and enable them to deliver in the country in ■time for the Christmas trade. There ■have been soane cheap sellers, but most ■of' the agents are firm for all fancy •brands, and are holding out for full ■prices.

CHEESE. New Zealand.—Die the s.s. Turakina's shipment pleased, and nearly everything is cleared, a few white only ■being unsold, colored at the moment being rather the- better sale. Umadiiin.
