PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following promotions in the police force are announced: —Sub-Inspec-tor Dwyer, Napier, to be Inspector, and remain at Napier; Chief Detective M.:<irath, Wellington, to bo sub-inspector and transferred to Christchurch station; Sergeant Hendry, Auckland, promoted to Sub-In9pector and to remain at Auckland; Detective Broberg, Wellington, to be Chief Detective at Wellington; Sergeant Treanor, Napier, to be made Station Sergeant and removed to Auckland.
