I The appointment of Mr. \\ lially. of the Dunedin office of the Labor Depart•went, to be a Conciliation Commissioner, (has necessitated a largf number of changes in the Department's staff. There have been two .new appointments viz., Mr. R. T. Bailey (late secretary of ; •the Canterbury Trades and Labor Council), who becomes an inspector of factories in the Taihape district; and Mr. W. C. Light foot (secretary of the Carpenters' and Jointers' Cnion), who will be made an inspector of factories. Mr. Lccren (late fnspeetor of Awards.
