YOCXti MAX MISSIXC. Patea, Wednesday. A young man named Edward Partridge, aged '-ti, is missing from his home at Kohi, Wavcrlev. He was last seen nt. H.JM on Monday evening. Apprehension is felt regarding his safety.
, While driving between Puniho and Okato on Monday. .Mr. W. Af. Whelati met with a painful accident. Near the Okato llott'l the horse, took fright at some pigs 011 the road. Mr. Whelan whipped the horse, it plunged forward, causing the trace to break. Then the animal bolted and ran the vehicle 'into a post at Putts' corner. The sudden stop freed the animal from the harness and pulled Mr. Whelan, who was clinging to the reins, 011 to the road, lie was -picked up hi an unconscious condition and taken <to the OUalo Hotel. Dr. Walke.r was summoned, and found the patient to be suffering from a fracture at the- base of the skull. He was removed to the New Plymouth Ilos-pi-tal on Tuesday-.
