AN ALLEGED ADVENTURESS. liy Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, February 2. A young woman named May Hallet, with several aliases, charged with obtaining £SO by fulrt'e pretences from Walter Clillord, appeared before the Court to-day. It was alleged that she represented herself «s a niece of the late Sir Henry Campbell-Baimerman. Accused was remanded till 10th mat, bail being allowed.
