The balance-sheet of the Loyal Egmont Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, shows that receipts in the sick anil ' funeral fund exceeded disbursements by .£3311 Is Id, and the balance to the credit of the Anid at the end of the year stood at .£liS33 Ss Kiel. From the medical and management fund ,£2U ■V.U lid was paid to the surgeon, and the expenditure totalled £372 Us 2(1. Receipts exceeded this amount by £3O Ss ■KM. The value of the lodge funds is set down at .tWaUS 17s Sd, an increase of £34ti lis Hid on last year's return. ■ The. membership shows a falling-oil'. At the last annual return there were 22ti members. Eight left by arrears, and one died. Five were initiated, and one admitted by reinstatement, bringing the total membership to 223. Sicknc'ss during the year amounted to 505 weeks and three (lays, and sick benefits •paid out bv the lodge to its own members totalled £272 Is Bd.
