DIVORCED TEACHERS BARRED.

The City School Hoard of .Memphis, Tennessee,' has passed a ri-oliitioii barring divorced men and women from teaching in the schools. Dr. G. It. Malone, author of the law, says:--"t'he object of the resolution i- to improve the, moral tone of our schools. The (Hoard has agreed that the divorced man or woman cannot bo of the same moral benelit or example to the pupils as 'others call, and to purify the life and training of the children it is necessary to purify their surroundings. The ■world is beginning to look upon divorces •with scorn, aiid the churches arc so disgusted with them that it is difficult to 'find a reputable minister who will marry persons after they have been, divorced."
