ATHLETICS.
NEW PLYMOUTH CALEDONIAN SOCIETY. At a meeting of the directors of the New Plymouth Caledonian Society last night, it was resolved to hold the annual sports meeting, on Easter Monday, April 12. The sum of £-10 Has allocated to running (including £25 Caledonian Handicap), £2B for three cycle races (including £l4 wheel race), £lO to wrestling, x.i to hammer, caber, quoits, and high jump, and £2O to Highland events. The date for a ■preliminary electric light meeting was left open pending the decision of the Recreation Sports Ground committee regarding the provision of additional lighting.
