ALLEGATIONS A(IAi:;-T THE ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Tuesday. ' The Wellington <iurri-;.,i Hand litis forwarded a letter u> the aililialed bands alleging that the n flairs of hie Association are so btidU managed that it is time the true position should be known. Thev state that numerous amendments' have been niado to the rules which have not.been properly registered, and ihnt the Association, in conseiruence, has already had to provide medals twice over for the trombone trio contest at New Plymouth. Particular exception is taken to the method of electing the judge for the Hastings competition. The band states they have a solicitor's advice (hat the method is illegal and has rendered the election void. The letter stales Out all Hie results at this competition can be upset, and that the winners are liable to have their prizes taken front them, as none of the rules under which it is to be conducted are legal. The bund therefore suggests that the competition should bo postponed, and that a special meeting of the. Association be called to consider the position.
