ADA CROSSLEY. | Madame C'rossley's return to Nowl Zealand has proved one of the mori notable musical events that ha< happened for some considerable time, and her appearance here under lire direction of J. 0. Williamson, at the Theatre' Royal, on Tuesday, January 2(1, is being looked forward to with pleasure. Melbourne ami Sydney critics declare the famous contralto' to be in great form. Her visit will be especially noteworthy from the fact that she brings with her a number of the world's most celebrated concert artistes, foremost ! amongst whom is Mr. John Harrison, who is regarded as Europe's greatest tenor. The baritone is Mr. Jay llynii, u new artiste from Kilkenny. Great interest has been everywhere displayed in the reappearance of the brilliant Australian pianist Mr Percy Grainger. )t. Leon Sametini is the violinist; he is a native of Holland. The accompanist is Mr. Harold Whittle, who recently toured with Madame (.'rn-sley. Positively only one concert can lie given in New Plymouth, for which the box plans will be opened at the Dresden on Thursday next, when five shilling and half-crown tickets can also be obtained.
