COAH'IjKTUJX OK TIIK ESPLANADE. A haudsomcly framed illuminated address is to be presented this afternoon to His Worship the Mayor at the official opening of the East End Esplanade. The presentation will be made by -Mr. R. Cock, on behalf of the .subscribers, who, as the text of the address sho\v.s, are .desirous of expressing their sense of appreciation of Mr. Ti>ch's ell'orts to beautify and popularise New Plymouth. •The address, which has been prepared at Messrs Joseph Ilooker and Co's -lithographic works, is splendidly illuminated with four views of the Esplanade, from the Lovers' Walk (IJenui) to the Rreakwater. and tastefully imniuted in an American oak frame of unique design. The text of the address is as follows: To Custave Tiseh. Esq., " Mayor of New llMymouth. "Dear Sir:— ■"On behalf of the citizens of Xew Plymouth we have the pleasure of convoying to you their appreciation of the •signal success that has crowned your ell'orts lo improve and develop the marine esplanades along tue whole length of the sea front.
