THE NORTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The annual tournament of the North Island Bowling Association opens on Monday on the greens of the Napier and Grccnmeadow Bowling Clubs. A little rain fell last night, but to-day the weather is cool and fine. At a meeting of bowlers last night, it was decided by the visitors—to whom the question was left—that the champion fours should be played in three sections (A, B and C). instead of four as originally proposed. It was also decided that in the finals each of the three winning section teams should meet the others, and that in the. event of the three being all square after their round, a draw should then take ' place for a bye in the concluding eon-, test. The champion fours, for which 34 ' teams have entered, are expected to oc cupy four or five days. The citizens'* match will then be played on tire 'sudden death' system for valuable medals subscribed for by supporters of bowling in this district. I
