DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs. K. Griffiths and Co. are in receipt ol the following market report from t lifir Londou principals, Messrs. Mills and Sparrow, dated Londou, 20th •November. 1!>08: IU'TTKU. r lhe weather is siill bright and open to-day. It i» not so warm as it has been, but the wintry weather which is usual and customary for us to have is absent. This is very much against the butter trade generally. Danish: Although the ([notation remains unaltered, ihere i* no life in the trade and buyers ;.:v only just taking enough to supply their uwn daily needs. ►Siberian: Prices have been reduced in i many instances iwith a view to a clearance before the heavier arrivals, of colonial comes to hand. Until this week there have been practically no butters under l(W)s, but to-day quite a few have been sold at fl(Js to !)Bs. French: Xormandy fresh (unsaltedl' rolls have been reduced Ikl per dozen; unsalted baskets 3s, and salt 2s to 4s per ewt. Orders at the reduction are coining in fairly freely. Brittany baskets and firkins at 92s to 90s are good value. Irish: There is still a surplus make, and this is being pushed at a reduction of 2-s- to 4s on our last quotations, but buyers are not eager, as the quality i* falling off very materially. Australian: Prices during the past week have been very irregular, and inducement in the way of reduction in) price lias had to be made to wean re tatters from the Continental and Irish makes. As we mentioned in our last, once get the retailer on to the colonial, lie is fixed for the season, as quality soon asserts itself, and the recent ai rivals have been on the average fine, and have pleased. The s.s. Orontes' discharged her cargo in fine order, and these at the reduction in prices ar*» moving more freely. Xew Zealand: Holders are very firm in price for Tongariro, but the general | run of buyers held olf, and quotations have been reduced iu sympathy with other classes of butter offering. More , interest is being shown in the shipment per s.s. lonic, due to dock to-morrow, and we look for a ready clearance at today's quotations. The same remarks apply to New Zealand as to Australian, namely, the retailer requires some inducement to throw Continental and "Irish butters over and start on the colonial. This being such an exceptional season, these butters are in«qmtc good supplv even at this late date. CHEESE. ' IXO alteration, either in price or coni dition of the market. Quotations in Canada vary 3d or fid per ewt from day to day, but prices here remain about the same.
