Macartney took one wicket for 41, Emery three for 115, Cotter two for 82, Hopkins four for 56. New South Wales, in their second .innings, made 140, Bardsley 31 and Macartney (not out) 38, being the chief scorers. Vernon took three wickets for SO, Laver two for 25, Saunder two for 87, Hazlett two for 26. Victoria thus won by an innings and 47 runs.

Fisher bowled splendidly, coining out with the fine average of five wickets for 50 runs. Otago has, made a bad start in tin' second innings, four wickets being lost compiling 70 runs, Wilson (28) being principal contributor. Relf gave a l fine display of bowling, sending down fifteen ovijrs, five of which were maidens, while lie secured two wickets at a cost of nine runs. The scores are . as follow: —
