MANAWATU RACES,

Palmerston North, Last Night. The Manawatu races concluded today in fine weather and with a large attendance. Hie sum of £11,281 was put through the machine, bringing the tota! up to ,£37,012 for the meeting. Results:—

Whitmore Hurdles.—Aotea 1, Coy 2, Don Carlos 3. Also started: Yosami, Anemone, and Xethcrby. Won very easily. Time, 2min 48 l-osec.

Clandeboye Welter Handicap.—Sandstream 1, Probability 2, Aboriginal 3. Also started: Rosegrove. Won by a head after a good race. Time, lmin 44 2-5 5 c0.

Christmas Hack Welter, seven furlongs.—Eclogue 1, Osiris 2, North-East 3. Also started: Roosevelt, Sliannon Lass, l'aione, and Fiucseur. Won by a good neck, a length between second and third. Time, lmin 29 1-asec.

Te Matai Hurdles.—Lull 1, Tonderghie 2. Capulet 3. The only starters. Won very easily. Time, 3min l!)sec.

President's Handicap. Cruchella I, Truganini 2, Vasa 3. Also started: Apa, Waitapu, and Moloch. Truganini led to the distauce, where Crueinclla got her measure and won by a length, Vasa two lengths away. Time, 2min 0 l-osec.

ilanawatu Sires' Produce Stakes. - Maori King 1, Kilwinning 2, Expansion 3. Also started: Daybeaui and (Johl Battery. Expansion and Kilwinning led for four furliiigs, Maori King overhauling the latter at the distance and winning easily by three and a-half lengths. Time, lmin llisec.

Wcstbury Hack Handicap. —Cute 1, Longner 2, AberlTrothock 3. Also ran: Herniin, Cardiff, Ben Glitters, Bravery, aiul Bercola. Won by half a head, Aberbrothoek a poor third. Time, lmin 3 l-ssec. DUXKUIX RACES. SECOND DAY. Dunodin, Last Night. The Duuedin races concluded to-day. Showers fell during the afternoon, but the attendance was large. Totalisator investments totalled £7387 10s, an increase of 1:1202 10s oil the correspondiny day of last year, and a total increase for the meeting of £2370. Eight bookmakers were licensee).
