The Wanganui Athletic Association field a most successful sports gathering under the auspices of (lie New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association on Cook's Gardens yesterday afternoon. A large number of people took advantage of the splendid weather to witness the proceedings. The majority of the contestants coming from Wellington added greater interest to tilic various events.
