Both fell struggling, Jiathis' finger-nails drawing blood behind the President's ear. Muthis was immediately arrested, and President Falliercs continued his stroll. Diplomatists hastened to the Elysee to express their indignation at tne outrage. Matliis was in possession of a medallion of General Mercier, who wa* responsible for Dreyfus' arrest.
