Napier, Last Night. William Robinson was charged with on November 13th receiving from Samuel Ueswick ten head of cattle, knowing them to have been stolen. Sub-Inspect-or Dwycr applied for a remand, stating that accused had only been arrested at the luncheon adjournment of the Court. Mr. Ci'esswell, who appeared for accused, said Robinson was a well-known settler and had resided in Hawke's Bay for 40 years. He had recently sold out of the Argyll bVttloimmt and removed Jiis stock to Tauranga, employing a man named Boult as his drover. That was how the trouble had arisen. Accused was remanded on bail. William Boult was charged with on December 15th at Runanga receiving from Samuel Ueswick 44 head of cattle, valued at C 1 OS, the properly of Richard Keene and James lleid. knowing them to have been stolen.
