FRANKLY ROAD SCHOOL.

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. The breaking-up ceremony of the above, school took place yesterday after-' noon, Mr. H. Oke.y, M.P., presiding. The attendance of the parents and friends was the largest ever held in the schoolroom, showing the bigh appreciation in which the headmaster, Mr. Winfield, is held botli by the school committee and parents. A vote of thanks was proposed to Mr. Winfield and his staff for the very efficient maimer in which the pupils have been brought through under his care and tuition. The resolution was carried unanimously, both children and friends joining in giving three .hearty good cheers to Mr. Winfield and his staff. After a few remarks and a suitable response, the chairman called on Mrs. Winfield to present the prizes to the children as follows:

Standard VI. —'First prize for marks, Olive Anibury. First prize for attendance, Leonard Goodaere (possible number) ; second prize, .May Aulridge. ■Standard V.—tb'irst prize for marks and first for attendance, Garland Newell; first prizes for attendance, Eric (loodacrc, Norah Bullot, Leo Hooker; second prize, Florence. Winfield. The first, prize-takers made maximum attendances. Standard IV.—First prize for attendance, Ray Okey; second, Nellie Bendall, Standard lll.—First prize for marks, Lance. Aulridge; .first prize for attendance, Leslie Newell, second Alma Bullot. Standard ll.—First prize for marks, John Kendall; first prize for attendance, Howard Okeyi, second Ralph Mooker and Elsie Lobii. Standard I.—First prize for marks, Bradley Mucker; first prize for attendance, Bradley Ducker, second George Garner. Primer Classes.—First prize for attendance, Cedril Newell, second Jean Bullot. Sewing Prizes. First prize (silver scissors donated by Mr. If. Okey), Olive Anibury; second prize (silver brooch given by Mr. Arden). Nellie Aulridge.
