SENATORS' INDIGNATION. New York, December 17. The United States Senate has directed its Appropriation Committee to recommend a suitable course of action in regard to the passage of President Roosevelt's messago suggesting the appointment of secret service men to watch politicians. Sonic Senators denounced President Roosevelt's action as the most wanton insult ever offered to the Legislature. PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT ASKED FOR EVIDENCE. - Received 18, 10.55 p.m. New York, December 18 The United States House of Represqutatives invites President Roosevelt to procure evidence justifying his reference to the secret service men and Congress. TARIFF REVISION. Received 18, 10.55 p.m. New York, December 18. Mr. Taft, President-elect, spcakiug at New York, implied that he will veto any Tariff Reform Hill disregarding the promises made at the National Convention of Chicago.
