Tin' programme for the variety entertainment which is to take place in the Recreation Sports Ground on Wednesday. 30th inst., is now complete, and wiM open with a selection from -Mr. Perry's orchestra. There will be two bicycle races, and the liehls in both of these events are expected to he very large, the novelty of night racing evidently having taken on. Mr. Lints bus a couple ! of splendid items prepared, and the 'l'edro Bros., as usual, w.ill entertain the audience, with their clever display of gymnastic work. The tight-rope walking by the lilondonian Bros, will be both daring and wonderful, and as their reputation lias preceded them they are sure to be a big draw. An item that will be very popular will be the sparring exhibition by the James Bros. These youthful pugilists are both clever and entertaining, and received a great reception both ill Wangaiiui and I'alinerston North, at which places they were specially engaged to show. 1 Tenders are invited, to close Holiday. 4th January, for the erection of a police station (in wood)- at >iew Ply- | mouth.
