TARANAKI LAND BOARD
The Land Hoard concluded its meeting yesterday. Tile applications for transfers from \ .lull to A. K. Sutton, section 8. block 7 Miini. and \Y. T. .Toll to A. K. Sutton, section 11, block 11, and section 2. Uock ,12. ilimi, were deferred for further consideration.
JI. .T. McAvady, selector of section 4, block 2, Ohura, submitted a declaration ihat he was the same person who held section (i, block 7. Oluira, upon which he desired to reside, and work section -1 from it.—Explanation accepted as satisfactory.
E. Tolme. ranger, reported having re turned possession of the following forfeited sections:—Section 11, block 1% Mimi, 3fl(i acres; section !l, block 12 Jlimi, 511 acres; section."i, block 5. Waro, 4.'i(i acres; section 1, block 5 Warn, 101:1 acres; section 0, block :i, I'pper Waitara, 332 acres; section 7, block 3, I'pper Waitara, 332 acres; sec, tion 7, block 3, Upper Waitara, 058 acres: section 4, block 3, Upper Waitara, 700 acres.—Resolved that the report be adopted and the sections re-ofl'ered for selection.
R. (.'. irughcs explained reasons for delay in completing transfer of sections U and 13, block 8, Waitara, from J JlcKcirfe, and applied for two months extension of time for completion.— Agreed to.
A plan of subdivisions of sections 97 and !)!>, block 10, Ponatu, portions of which are being exchanged between Mcssr*. W. Hallett and F. E. C'lcland, was laid on tlie table and approved. nKo a plan of part section 12, block fl, Pouatu. to be transferred from C. K. JlcCutchan to H. JlcLeod. The Commissioner certified tbat N. Olsen Mas entitled to have lease-in-per, petnity of section 8, block 2, Ohura, issued to him.—Resolved that the lease be issued. I
