Mr. Walter Rmieiinnn, President of the Education Commission, addressing a Liverpool Sbtpbrokers' lienevolent Society, expressed the hope that the present Parliament would not touch shipping legislation. Merchant shipping was a delicate organism. Politicians and others were inclined to interfere with shipowners and shipping. They had better lie- warned to keep their "hands oil'."
