GLOBE TROTTING FREAKS.
HOW TO TOUE WITHOUT'MEANS. By Telegraph.—Pre ts Association. Wellington, Last Night. There arrived in Wellington to-dai two young men who are "globe trot ters" in earnest. They are walkinj round the earth, wherever there is earth to walk on. Their names are K E. Phillips and J. E. McCance. Thej jhoth come from Victoria, and theii starting place was Bendigo. They left 'on 3rd October, walked to Sydney, then came Over here by the Ulimaroa. At present they are feeling a trifle se«dy after a rough passage, but if they have lost weight their muscles are in excellent trim. Picture postcards displaying photographs of the world walkers and their performances are the talismans by which they hope to pay their way, aad pay their way they mean to do. Both Mien (their ages are 20 aad 29 respectively) arc fortified with references from the Bendigo Walkers' Association and others. The adventurous pair, who are dressed for the occasion, will linger dn Wellington before resuming their travels. They will then proceed to Vancouver, zig-zag through the States to Galveston and back to New York across the Atlantic to the United Kingdom, to Paris and on to Pekin via Russia and Siberia. This part of their itinerary they claim to be novel, and they are to be back in Bendigo within five years. Meanwhile they are in Wellington under the wing of the Amateur Athletic Association.
