WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD
At the 'monthly meeting of the above Board there were present Messrs. S. Turnbull (chairman), Connetf, Smith, and Western,
Correspondence was read from Messrs. | Hi>y and Nicholson, stilting; that ill.. Bowman refused to initial alterations <ju plan of Kelly Koad deviation until the Hoard had cleared silt from his I lioundary fence; from Jfrs. Harford, stating that royalty had nut been paid lor metal taken from her pit; and from Mr. Murray, returning speeilicatioiis for Cross Koad contract, which he had endorsed as approved. The clerk reported that lie had arranged with Mr. Mcrriii to look after the pound, on condition that all poundage fees lie handed over to the Hoard, fences to be kept in order, material required for same to be found by the Board.
The ehainuan and Mr. Vide were authorised to interview Mr. Bowman re fence, and endeavour to come to an arrangement with him. Traders were received from 11. Jeffrey ami Co.. at Us 'Jd per yard, and E. Richards at .tti l'Js (id per chain for metal on Cross Road. K. Richards' tender was accepted for '■>% chains. Surfaceman I'almer reported that Un-washed-out tilling on Te Arei Koad had been repaired, and the levelling of same read through Huiraugi had been -commenced and would lie completed in a day or so.
Accounts amounting to C 2.1 were passed for payment, and the Board rose,
