SOUTHLAND SHOW.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Jjist Xight
The Southland Summer Show opened today in .splendM .weather, when the sheep and cattle were judged. I:i both sections the wn.s an improvement on Unit of hist year's exhibits, though the number* were smaller. There were very few outside entries in cattle, and the jirizes mostly stayed at home. In sheep the local Hock masters held their own, except in Corriedales, in which class John Sipringfellow, of Canterbury, .secured all the honors. The show of fat sheep and lambs was particularly fine. The weather promises well for People's Day to-morrow, and the prospects arc that the show will be the most successful vet held.
