AXEMEN'S CARNIVAL.

Tile secretary of the .New Zealand Axemen's Carnival lias received a cable that Charles Milcy, of Victoria. pioii axeman of Australia, will leave Sydney to-day to compete in the championship event at the Eltham Carnivai. Milev last year defeated (ills lilai.>twice in succession and won the Mjil.ourne Handicap from scratch. In t world's championship in 2ft standing blocks, which this year has been allotted by the Australasian Association to the Eltham meeting, Milcy will be opposed by prominent New Zealand ax*men.
