QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT. , Received 3,11.35 p^n. Brisbane, Last Night. The Address-in-Reply wbb carried by 32 to 26. The Treasurer delivered his Budget. The revenue last year was £4,488,000, and closed with a surplus of £115,200. The loan expenditure amounted to £1,034,000, whereof £885,000 was spent on railways. The loan expenditure for the coming year ia estimated nt £1,500,000. The deposits at the Government savings banks in creased in four years by £1,180,000. The deposits in the Government banks are equal to nearly *SO per family, which is regarded as 8 gratifying index of the general prosperity of the State. The estimated revenue for the current year is £4,595,700, and the expenditure £4,500,500. It is urged that there is need for keeping a close rein on the expenditure in order to prevent additional taxation.
