LICENSING.
THE JIASTEKTON POLL. A meeting of hotelkecpers of the Masterion licensing district and others interested in the beer, wine, and spirit trade was held oil Tuesday in connection with the recent local option poll. After [i lengthy discussion it was unanimously decided to lodge a petition, as required by the terms of the Act, to invalidate the poll in the .Masterton district, on the ground that several irregularities had taken place in connection with the same, and which were reported by the trade's scrutineer, .Mr. W. l'owmill. The petition will be lodged immediately after the .Magisterial recount of the votes is concluded 011 Friday.
