PLIGHT OF INDIGENT WORKERS. Received.DecemhJr 2, 9.45 p.m. Melbourne, Last Night. During the past few months many parents have been fined at Prahraii for failing to "send tlrcir children to seliool. Some fathers, unable to pay the fines, have made arrangements with the poliee Whereby they spend the week-eivls m gaol, thereby obviating the loss of employmfcnt.
