OFFER OF LAND.

JJua i(the Maori "iprophet") interviewed the Native Minister tin's morning and ollered 100,000 acres of the Urewera Country for purchase by the Government to obtain money and clear oil' the liabilities and encumbrances against his people and property and .assist him in clearing and stocking further areas. Mr. Carroll said he would accept the oiler, and on his return to Wellington would place the matter before the Department. Una assured the Native Minister he would render the Government every assistance in opening up the country for settlement.
